This policy explains what The Virtual Panda ("we", "us") collects when you use https://thevirtualpanda.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this website only. Our products have their own policies, published on their own sites.
The short version
We do not sell your information, we do not run advertising, and we do not track you across other websites. The only personal information we ask for is what you type into the contact form.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you entered. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list on the strength of a contact form submission.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider processes standard server request data, including your IP address, browser user agent and the page requested. This is a normal part of serving a website and is used for delivery, security and abuse prevention.
Storage on your device
We do not use tracking cookies. The site stores a single value in your browser's local storage to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Who else is involved
We keep third parties to the minimum needed to run the site. Each one processes data on our behalf under its own privacy terms:
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site, and handles the request data described above.
- Resend delivers contact form submissions to our inbox, and therefore processes the contents of your message.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site. Loading them transmits your IP address to Google.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages stay in our email for as long as the enquiry is relevant, and are deleted when they are not. Server request logs are retained by our host for a short period under its own retention policy.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to mail@thevirtualpanda.com and we will action it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we will honour those requests regardless of where you are.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
